Deadly Earthquake Strikes Southern Peru At least two people are dead and 65 more are injured after a 7.1-magnitude tremor hit Peru on Sunday. The first victim was a 55-year-old man who was crushed by a rock in Yauca. The second victim was killed in the same region. The earthquake occurred near the coast of the country. There is no tsunami threat, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
